Painted buntings migrate from the Caribbean and Central America arriving about mid April and departing mid to late October to return to a warmer climate.
Blue Heron Inn makes for a great biding location. Centrally located along the Colonial Coast Migratory route with both fresh water ponds and salt marsh a wide variety of species rest or nest throughout the grounds and local area.
